I’ve always loved books by Suzanne Woods Fisher so I was excited to get my hands on her latest. The Moonlight School is about Cora Wilson Stewart, a real historical figure, and her niece Lucy Wilson. Their goal was to bring literacy to rural Kentucky by opening up a Moonlight School for adults where they could come learn to read at night after their work was done. The characters in the book were very interesting and nicely fleshed out. It was nice to read a book inspired from a real person and moment in history. This is a really great read for lovers of historical fiction.

I was provided a copy of this book by the publisher. All opinions are my own.
