Troubled Waters is the long awaited story of Ian and Sierra. The things they have overcome on the way to love have been difficult on the both of them and the things that happen in this book are no exception.

When a fundraising attempt aboard a yacht goes awry Ian and Sierra find themselves in the fight for their lives. When circumstances force them to face their feelings for each other and help each other to survive will they choose love or their fears?

It is suspense filled and will keep you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what comes next. While this book largely takes place outside of Montana it is just as great of a read as the others in the Montana Rescue series. You will feel invested in the lives of these characters and the things that occur to them and will be rooting for them until the end. This book also follows a side story of Pete and Jess’s relationship and the hurdles they are trying to overcome.

I would certainly recommend this book and the only fault I had with it is that it ended too soon! I can’t wait to read the next book in the Montana Rescue Series!

I was provided a copy by the publisher. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Every year I look forward to Melody Carlson’s new Christmas novella. This year’s, The Christmas Blessing, is historical set in the 1940’s. It is about Amelia Richards who finds out that her baby’s father, James, was shot down somewhere in the South Pacific. Amelia struggles as a single mother of a new baby and sets out to find James’ parents. Problems arise for Amelia since they don’t know about her or the baby.

As always Melody Carlson’s characters are characters that you can root for and relate to. Even though this is a short novella there is still some growth and you can still feel like you know them. This is a good quick read that is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

I received this book from Revell. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is a little different type of post but I wanted to make everyone aware of the great organic products that are available at Kroger! Recently Kroger sent me some free samples of organic items along with some coupons to score some free items. All of these products were great and I’m so happy that my local Kroger carries these types of products. Check them out if you get the chance!

A Matter of Trust follows the characters of Gage Watson, a former pro-snowboarder turned PEAK Rescue team member, and Ella Blair, a state Senator. The two knew each other back when Gage was still riding professionally and Ella is partly to blame for his career ending. Sparks flew back then and they continue to fly when these two are unexpectedly teamed up to help locate Ella’s missing brother Oliver out on the slopes. The book uses flashback to relay what happened back when Gage and Ella first met and lets us know why Gage isn’t too happy to see her at first. Once they are back on the mountain fighting for their lives and trying to locate her missing brother the two realize that the feelings they first had for each other may have never completely disappeared.

This novel is filled with excitement and adventure and you will want to keep reading it until you are finished. Readers of the previous two books in the Montana Rescue series will be excited to continue the story of these characters. It also sets up a story for the future novels to come in this series. Susan May Warren does it once again with A Matter of Trust and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!

I received a complimentary copy of A Matter of Trust from the publisher, and the opinions stated are all my own.

Under a Summer Sky is the third book in the Follow Your Heart series but they can be read in any order. It is a feel good, summer romance type of book that would be perfect to read while poolside or at the beach. It follows the character of Nicole Anderson, a high school teacher, who gets to spend the summer in the city of Savannah running her friend’s art gallery. Of course while there romance occurs! This is a good clean romance that can be read very quickly. The characters are written well and the setting is quite picturesque. While this is definitely not the best book I’ve ever read it is a fun read that I would recommend if you were looking for something light.

I have read Becky’s Porter Family Series and wasn’t sure if this would live up to the greatness of those books but I was pleasantly surprised that it did. True to You is about Nora, a genealogist, and John, a former Navy Seal who comes to her to dig into his past.

The way that these characters are written and how they evolve is one of the best parts about this book. After reading it you will truly feel like you know them somehow. The story utilizes several different characters point of view to tell what is going on. It was great to get into the heads of a few different characters instead of just being told from one’s point of view. It is a Christian fiction book so God is weaved beautifully into the story and it has an inspiring message of trusting God in everything.

I would highly recommend this book and can’t wait until the second book in this series comes out!

I received this novel from the publisher. A positive review was not required and all opinions expressed are my own.

The Devoted is the third novel in the Bishop’s Family series and follows the character of Ruthie Stoltzfus. She is 17 years old and is at somewhat of a crossroads. Will she stay with the Amish faith that she grew up with or will she leave this place for the ways of the world? Helping add to Ruthie’s indecision are two men, one Amish the other an Englischer, who are both interested in her. Helping to guide Ruthie and the other characters is David Stoltzfus, her father and the Bishop.

Every character in this novel is beautifully well written and well rounded and each one grows from the beginning to the end of the novel. I have read several of Suzanne Woods Fisher’s novels and I have grown to love the town of Stony Ridge. Lovers of her previous novels or Amish fiction in general will be enamored by this new book.

Amish Christmas at North Star is a compilation of four novellas each written by a different author. Each author has a different style but each novella is an entertaining read. They are joined together by a common theme and follow four babies that are now adults that an Amish midwife delivered on the same night. Each story is heartfelt and will get you in the spirit of Christmas. I would definitely recommend this novel.

Every year I look forward to reading Melody Carlson’s Christmas novella. This one turned out to be just as great as previous ones were. This story follows a book club consisting of four friends who are sent for a loop when the fifth member, Abby, passes away. She was the anchor of the group and they are unsure if they should even continue with her gone.

Abby had created gifts for each of the other four women and her husband hands them out. They each were given an angel ornament created by Abby for each woman. This gift leads them to spread the gift of love to others in need that Christmas season.

This novella is especially heartfelt and a great read for anytime of the year but will be sure to put you in the Christmas spirit. It is a quick read and is sure to brighten your mood. I would recommend to anyone who has read Melody’s other novellas or those who love an inspirational read.

I was given a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Let me start by saying I have loved all of Melody Carlson’s books that I have read and this one is no exception. All Summer Long follows Tia D’Amico as she moves to San Francisco to help her aunt with the task of converting a yacht into a restaurant. Upon arriving there she meets back up with an old crush of hers, Leo, and romance ensues.

As most novels in the Christian Romance genre it was very predictable and I knew how it was going to end from the start but that didn’t make the journey any less enjoyable. The characters are beautifully written and developed over the course of the story and you will find yourself rooting for their romance. The setting is also wonderfully described and you will feel like you are really there alongside the characters. This was a fun, light-hearted read that is perfect for a lazy summer day.
